The phase II of the SPS Portal (Application for Sanitary Certificate) was launched on 31st January 2022 at the Ministry of Agro Industry and Food Security. It is an online portal for application and issuance of International Veterinary Certificates, where by the Livestock and Veterinary Division (LVD) certifies animal health and veterinary public health requirements imposed by the importing country and which are essential to ensure safe international trade
The Phase I of the project, Application for Phytosanitary Certificates went live in August 2021 for the National Plant Protection Office (NPPO)
This project was funded by the SADC to improve food safety, animal & plant health to comply with international standards and conventions.
