- Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions:
- “Platform” refers to the digital platform developed and operated to provide product digital passport services.
- “User” refers to any person or entity registered and authorized to use the Platform’s Backoffice.
- “Manufacturer” refers to a User that inserts and manages product information on the Platform.
- “End User” refers to any individual who accesses product information by scanning a QR code generated by the Platform.
- “GTIN” refers to the Global Trade Item Number, a GS1 standard for uniquely identifying products.
- Backoffice Access
Authorized Users may access the Platform’s Backoffice to insert their product’s GTIN, in accordance with the GS1 standard codification system.
- Product Identification Details
Upon insertion of a valid GTIN, the Product Identification Details section will be automatically populated with data retrieved from the active GS1 database. All other sections must be manually completed by the Manufacturer or authorized User.
- Data Retrieval and Editing
GS1 data is retrieved and displayed after the product entry is saved. Users may subsequently edit the Product Identification Details section as needed.
- QR Code Generation
Once a product has been successfully created on the Platform, the Manufacturer will be able to view and download the product’s unique QR code from the product view/edit page. This QR code may be affixed to the physical product to enable End User access to the corresponding digital product passport.
- User Access Control
For security and data integrity reasons, Users can view and edit only the products they have created. For example, if User A creates a product, only User A will have access to view or modify that product’s information.
- End User Display
When an End User scans the QR code, only the fields that have been completed by the Manufacturer will be displayed on the End User interface.
- User Responsibilities
Users are responsible for:
- Ensuring that all information entered into the Platform is accurate, complete, and up to date.
- Complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and GS1 standards.
- Keeping their account credentials secure and not sharing access with unauthorized parties.
- Using the Platform in a manner consistent with these Terms and applicable policies.
The Platform Operator shall not be held responsible for any inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading information submitted by Users.
- Account Suspension and Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any User account, without prior notice, if we determine that the User has:
- Violated these Terms and Conditions;
- Provided false, inaccurate, or misleading information;
- Engaged in unauthorized access or misuse of the Platform; or
- Acted in a manner that could damage the reputation, security, or integrity of the Platform.
- Limitation of Liability
The Platform Operator provides the Platform on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- The Platform Operator is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of the use of, or inability to use, the Platform.
- The Platform Operator is not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or authenticity of the data entered by Users.
- Manufacturers remain solely responsible for the content and accuracy of their product information.

- Acceptance of Terms
By using the Platform, Users acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If a User does not agree, they must refrain from using the Platform.
