The Corporate and Business Registration Department (CBRD) of Mauritius has commissioned the implementation of an XBRL-based system to enable companies to prepare and submit their annual returns in XBRL format to the CBRD. MNS has partnered with global XBRL leader, IRIS Business Services Ltd to implement the solution.
Extensible business Reporting Language, or XBRL, is a freely available electronic language for financial reporting that more than 50 countries around the world have embraced. XBRL is not about establishing new accounting standards but enhancing the usability of the ones that we have through the digital language of business.
During a workshop held by the CBRD on 4 November, 2016 with the stakeholders, IRIS, and MNS, the system was officially launched.
